I know what you mean about the theropy, when some friends of mine have had bad break ups, i've done some music and get them to write some truth, theyv'e either realised its hard to be truthful, or they find out how they truly feel. I couldn't find your music, but you may need pre-amp/compressor with phantom power to the mic. Although you must know, that i know very little.
