Just listened to 'Drowned',and followed the journey. I could only here your voice clearly for a second, then the guitars drowned you out again, like the waves would probably drown out I cries for help.
I usually listen for the words, the little of your voice I did hear was beautiful Michael.
I love the waves, and I have used bird song to introduce mood, cool.
Thanks. mikey
Nice rendition of "Drowned", thank you for re-posting that. Cool rain and thunder sounds on that one too. It was cool the other week when Pete played "Heart to Hang Onto", we got to see the chords up close to that one.
Speaking of where are they now, a couple of the actors in Quadrophenia went on to have prominent movie roles recently. Recognized "Spider" in a movie called "Vera Drake" recently. The leading actress was nominated for an academy award. Forget the name of the character, but Jimmy's biker friend was in a movie with Ben Kingsley called "Sexy Beast". Not sure what Phil Daniels is up to, but imagine he is still acting. Would have been interesting to see his role reprised in White City.
Pete has a knack for story telling and creating interesting characters. Am really enjoying TBWHM.
Take it easy.
Mikey thats what I was saying about the vocals not coming out clear with the phantom condensor mic. I think I figured it out. I had my son hold a blow horn in the middle if you can hear it. Then I found that the Boss1600 has a effect for it...it was still fun but needs a lot of work Thanks everybody it made me feel good HI RENE!!!!
Sting was such a great pick to play "The Face" or "Bellboy" as he's also known. That was a great movie. Yes, it would be interesting to see a cast picture with stories on what each of them have been up to.
Some of the happiest days of my life were spend poncing around the Wellington Centre mall in Aldershot with my friends, dressed in our mod parka's and port pie hats. Youth.. sigh...
This song is absolutley fab, and thanks for yer kind words on my story.
Nice blog by the way, I enjoy the modness!
Have a good one!
